Set in Stone
I always found it funny how my bestie met the love of her life at an airport. Getting lost between airport gates and the baggage claim never sounded romantic to me. Could you really find love in such places? That’s what I kept muttering about - until I found myself in a similar situation. I met him at the airport, lost in Milan and looking for directions. Little did I know, by showing him the way, I’d also open the path to my own heart.
It all came together one late night at the aquarium, as we stood in front of the glowing jellyfish tank. The glowing creatures seemed to dance their invisible dance, and the soft blue and purple light reflected in his eyes. Something inside me shifted. In that moment, I knew there was no use hiding my feelings or pretending my heart was something made of stone - especially when Stone was already inside it. "Life is too short," I thought, and for the first time in years, I allowed myself to be vulnerable. That night, we made our choice - together was way better than being apart.
