Special Lyrics
The first song about the new style of jazz, Quebec Jazz.
Quebec Jazz was invented by Paul Schreiber, and first played by The Exiles. It is always Allegro, Presto or Vivace, is often, but not always music for musicians, and is always played as either free or modal jazz.
Part of the idea behind Quebec Jazz is to re-interperet other, non-Jazz, songs and then add these examples and lessons to jazz. In that way Quebec Jazz is always open to stylistic ideas from other genres, even those not typically associated with jazz.
Quebec Jazz can be enjoyed by anyone, either musically or intellctually. It is music for the people.
It was named for the province in which its creator lives.
