PopOlympic Games 143 - Finals!
Still here in the Olympic bubble. One by one, I seen my opponents go down but nothing made me more nervous than meeting my cousin in the competition. Not going to lie, the thought of being the one to prevent her from advancing to the next round really messed with my head a little. Knowing how she thinks in the ring, when to attack or go on the defend because its the same exact way I think when I'm in combat. We come from the same long line of fighters, after all, standing in the same places where those who trained us stood. In the end, we fought as respectfully as we could and my experience had an upper hand. Now she stands on my side of the ring to cheer me on. In fact, everyone here has been very friendly and respectful.
Eat, sleep, train, repeat has been the mantra ever since the games started. And I guess its paid off because ya boy is heading to the finals tomorrow!! Already had a chance to speak to my opponent and he's a cool dude. I'm so hyped right now that I don't even have time to feel nervous or worry about how bruised up and sweaty I currently am! *laughs* I'll worry about my appearance at the medal ceremony when my name and London's flag gets added to those books. Lets goooo!
