Time goes by
Andrea watched Nate from a distance, sure that he couldn't see her. She was sitting in the living room while he played in the garden with a ball. She drank some of the soda on the table next to her and sighed. She didn't understand at what point their little baby had grown up so fast. She still remembered how excited she and Shea had been to find out they were going to be parents and now...some time later...Nate was almost a teenager.
She was deep in thought, her eyes flooded with tears of longing when she felt protective arms around her, and she smiled. She smiled because she was surrounded by love. Because she had a son full of light and a husband who adored her and whom she loved with all her heart. The love of her whole life.
She caressed Shea's arms and felt at home once more. He would always be her home. And Nate would always be her baby.
