9. new beginnings, new horizons.
Leif had known that something had been wrong — he thought perhaps she’d caught something on their travels… after all, they’d hit New York, Brazil, Berlin, and London in such a quick timespan. Or perhaps it just could have been the exhaustion that she was experiecning.
Then those fateful words: Leif… I might be pregnant.
Everything suddenly made sense, the tiredness, the being low in mood — the reason that she wasn’t being her playful self, hiding behind her tried beautiful eyes. He was happy, but he was also terrified because it was his first time as a father, and he had barely figured himself out and now they were bringing a child in the world but one thing that he knew: they had each other, they were a team. And second they had a strong support system in friends and family, they would be okay. It might be a little rocky, but what life was perfect and without faults?
