Elliot hadn't doubted for a second—his first stop in London was his nephew. His tiny, only fitting inside of his palm, nephew River. Despite the little age gap with Camilla, he still remembered those days when he had to look out for her. Meanwhile, she was a fierce, active, stubborn little girl, Elliot was the calm one, the peace as he was there to soothe the storm in the form of a girl.
“Well, obviously he isn't like you.. because he looks tranquil to me, so he must be Wolf's boy.” Elliot teased the brunette, meanwhile, his eyes locked on the view beside him on the couch.
River snoozed on an infant nest. It didn't bother him as they were talking nearby nor did his mommy's walk around the place. Baby was absolutely unbothered, lost in his own dreams. Perfect.
“He is. He truly is.” Camilla smirked softly. “I demanded buying a bedside crib, so River could sleep nearby because I read thousands of stories about the SIDS. You know.. the sudden infant death syndrome.. Come on, you don't know either what it is? Elliot?” the woman widened her eyes of a surprise.
“I don't know, I don't have children, where I am supposed to know?” Elliot burst into a chuckle, however, Camilla quickly hushed him. He then kept his voice low before continuing:
“I don't know, our dad never taught us these things. What is it?”.
His lips fell apart of hearing the horrible true stories about it. Someone so tiny and fragile, and could be in such risky condition? It didn't fit in his head. River was the apple of the eye for all of them. For Elliot, more than he could ever describe.
“I checked on him every night. In every 30 minutes, Wolf asked me to be calm. So we changed its sides and it worked. He is on Wolf's side. We all sleep peacefully now.”
Yeah, Elliot did too lately for some reason. Or maybe for someone's reason. Happiness indeed caused a good night's sleep.
