I stood at the edge of the platform, my breath fogging up the visor of my dive helmet as I adjusted it one last time. Below me, the ocean shimmered like a living, breathing thing, and somewhere in that vast expanse, the Nautilus waited. My pulse quickened, not from nerves but from pure, unfiltered excitement. This wasn’t just any dive; this was the dive.

The water was so clear it almost felt like it was inviting me in. I crouched down to double check my gear, a ritual that always calmed me before I went under. “Okay, regulator’s good, suit’s sealed… and snacks are waiting on board,” I muttered with a grin. Yeah, priorities. I mean, who could face an underwater week without emergency chocolate?

I took a deep breath, feeling the cool metal of the oxygen tank against my back. The thought of spending the next seven days in the Nautilus, submerged in the depths of the ocean, filled me with the kind of buzz you only get before something amazing happens. I’d always felt connected to the water like it was more than just a place, it was part of me. And now, I was about to live in it.

I glanced up at the horizon one last time as if to say goodbye to the sky. The surface sparkled under the pale Tromsø light, and I gave it a little nod. Then, without hesitating, I launched myself forward.
