𝟷𝟺𝟼, ʟᴏɴᴅᴏɴ

Ira had managed to convince her father to let her stay at the dorms instead of making the daily commute to uni from their house in the outskirts of London. It had been an intense battle to fight, but the moment she suggested they could buy her a car instead—well, she could kiss herself for the brilliant idea. Point, set and match, daddy.

It didn't matter that she didn't get to choose her major, she had always known she would study business and work at his father's corporation. Her life had been planned for her from the moment she was born. But Ira took every little win, every little taste of freedom, and cherished them for what they were. Precious.

Her freshers' week had been a whirlwind of events, she had been so eager to experience everything that she miscalculated how tired she would be. Taster sessions, tours, welcome fairs, meets and greets. She rushed from one to the other, all in blur of new faces and names and so much smiling her face had started to hurt. By the time she went back to her room to freshen up and get ready for the party at the dorms, Ira was so exhausted the five minutes nap she had indulged herself into taking turned into a full night's sleep.

Experiencing her first party would have to wait. Apparently.
And so would her chance to make friends. For now, she had some free time to read while waiting for the first class to start, getting ahead on her class readings wouldn't hurt, would it?
