Another week

...has rolled around, and just like the weeks before, the same old story unfolds. I can't go to the casino. The flashing lights, the clatter of the slots, the thrill of a potential win… it all remains tantalizingly out of reach. Being poor, to put it bluntly, absolutely sucks! 😭💸 It's this constant barrier, this invisible wall preventing me from doing even the simple things I enjoy. And so here I sit, stuck at home, feeling like a caged animal. The minutes seem to stretch into hours as I aimlessly scroll through my phone, texting friends who are probably out living their best lives, and updating my socials with carefully curated content that doesn’t reflect the boredom eating away at me.

At least there was a silver lining this week as I managed to visit the museum. The cool, quiet halls, surrounded by history and art, always manage to lift my spirits, a small escape from my everyday reality. It's a welcome distraction, a reminder that there's beauty and wonder even when my purse's feeling empty... and I take time refilling it 😈
