“Well, I’m closed for business” he felt completely unbothered. “Feel free to go over there and tell her I’ll be fucking off to London soon.” He jabbed him lightly in the arm. “I’m sure she’ll view you as an adequate consolation prize.” Aidan cursed him under his breath, which only made Everett chuckle as he downed the rest of his drink. “Ha! Fuck off. I’m nobody’s second choice.” Yeah. Neither was he. Not anymore.
