Halloween 2024: Tiger to Dress Up as a Human
This year, for Halloween, I decided to dress up as a human. At first glance, this might seem like an unusual choice, but it’s actually an idea meant to provoke thought. The human being is often the real monster haunting the Earth. There’s no need for mythical creatures to scare us—just look at reality.
Humans have created inequality, violence, hatred, and destruction. Wars, racism, corruption, greed—these are all plagues caused by our own nature. Monsters from legends are just a distraction, a mask to hide the real evil. And that evil is human behavior, with its flaws and wrong choices, destroying everything it touches.
My mask is meant to represent this. A distorted, frightening human face, with a grin symbolizing greed, eyes reflecting indifference, scars telling the story of society’s wounds. It’s not an attack on humanity itself, but a reflection on its dark side.
This year, I didn’t choose a spooky costume. I chose a statement. The real fear is not the one told in stories, but the one we see every day: violence, intolerance, selfishness. Halloween is the perfect time to face the scariest truth of all: we are the monster
