Living the Heights: A Libra in Love with the 80s
📸 This pic? Just me, vibing on a balcony in NYC, surrounded by the concrete jungle. The city’s chaos below, my thoughts in the clouds. Typical Tabi moment, right?
Hey, I’m Tabitha—or just Tabi, because who uses full names in New York anyway? I’m 16, born and raised in the city that never sleeps, where everything is fast, loud, and slightly chaotic… just how I like it. Life here has this weird way of making you feel like a nobody and the main character all at once. And honestly? That’s exactly how I’d describe myself too.
Living in New York means there’s always something happening. Whether it’s the crazy energy of Times Square or the calm vibes of a coffee shop in the East Village, there’s never a dull moment. And then there’s me, darting between thrift shops, record stores, and retro arcades. Seriously, if you’ve never spent a Saturday afternoon at a vintage arcade smashing buttons on Street Fighter, you’re missing out.
I’m also pretty into music. Writing, playing, or just jamming to something loud in my room while pretending I’m on stage. It’s more of a hobby right now, but who knows? Maybe someday it’ll be more. My mom, of course, doesn’t quite get the whole “live in the moment” thing and keeps asking what I want to “do with my life.” To keep her off my back, I’ve been saying I’ll study biology. Honestly, dissecting frogs might not be the worst backup plan.
But back to what really matters; NYC style. This city is a fashion playground, especially if you know where to look. My favorite spots? Flea markets in Brooklyn and hidden thrift stores in Chelsea. Every piece feels like it’s lived three lives before you.
