A fortuity of Destiny.

Tabatha offered the elder lady her card with a charming smile, while she tried to ignore the constant whisper in her ear and the sick feeling in her stomach.
"You should visit me. I can see great things waiting for you. A bright future. Riches." she said, upholding her smile.
"Pah, great things. I had great things ahead of me. A whole life..." Tabatha tried to force the voice out of her head. It wouldn't exactly help to gain the other woman's trust if she'd start to allegedly talk to herself or act weird.
Whatever that meant in her case. Weird.
Upholding her smile, Tabatha held her eyes on the woman in front of her, who was hesitating to take the card.
"I don't really... believe in such things." She tried to deny the card with a deprecating gesture of her hand, but her eyes lingered a tad too long on Tabatha for her to know she'd caught the woman's interest. The desire of being more than she now was. It was something that usually worked with her kind.
"It's... Ellen, right?" Tabatha pretend to just now grasp the other's name from thin air, just as she pretended this meeting in the middle of the supermarket to be utter coincidence. A fortuity of destiny so to say. While in truth, she'd known exactly where and when to find Ellen.
She almost passed as an ordinary elder lady. Ellen, that is. Somewhere past her best years, heading towards 60 perhaps. Give or take. Her attire was well sorted, as was her dyed hair. Clearly a vain act to cover the greyness in it. No hair dye in world would have been able to deceive the dark red aura surrounding her though. Or the deceitful glimt in her eyes.
"Just think of it. Keep the card. You can see my business hours on the back." Tabatha said with the same smile. "We have a lot of things to discuss." She added before she nonchalauntly turned to proceed with her groceries. Turning into the next aisle, she hissed through her teeth.
"Shhh! She will!"
