Dont eat the sand🏖️
Scott blinked up at the sky, then down at the big, moving water. The waves came rolling in, whooosh, then slipped back with a bubbly hiss.
He squealed, throwing his arms up, his whole body bouncing with joy in Lisa’s arms, his little legs kicked in the air, toes curling in anticipation. He let out a string of urgent sounds, wriggling in Lisa’s arms
“Uh! Uh! Daah! Ehh! Ah!”
Lisa looked down, already smiling.
“You want down, huh, little captain?”
She set him gently on the warm sand. He stood for a second, then took a wobbly step forward, then another. His toes sank in, and he gasped with delight. He dropped straight to his bottom, grabbing fistfuls of sand and squealing with wonder.
He giggled as a wave rolled close. he scrambled backward on chubby feet and hands, babbling in surprise, then laughed again, like it was all a game.
The beach was huge. The sky was forever. The waves were funny.
Then came Mummy’s voice, lovingly firm.
"Dont eat the sand Scott"
Scott froze. Blinked. Looked down at his sandy hands…
And pouted.
Lisa took the pic with her phone and a moment later, she sent it to Steve with a simple message:We miss you... Next time let’s visit the beach together🩷
You’re both my sunshine. ☀️
Next time, we’ll make sandcastles together. Pinky promise 🏖️
