When the smoke cleared from The Battle of Eden the gods of Metal did sit back over cups of mead, listening to the land’s most blazing Heavy Metal. They partied for weeks, as gods will do. But too soon the stage emptied as the bands succumbed to exhaustion. And in the silence one young god did rise and say, “We are gods, and should listen to music worthy of us. But does a lack of experience equal lack of quality, brothers? There are bands out there, young, yes, but hungry…should we not welcome them as well?” The other gods scoffed. But then a youth ascended the stage and ripped off a riff so searing the gods gave pause in wonderment. The blazing chords were then joined by a booming thunder drum, and the gods of Metal did once again smile. The young and the hungry would rule this day.
