The water reservoir is crucial to city infrastructure. Without a fully operational and well kept water reservoir, things can turn real ugly for businesses, inhabitants, and everyone else in the a city.

The Croton Reservoir is a narrow reservoir in Westchester County, New York, lying approximately 22 miles (35.2 km) north of New York City, which the reservoir supplies water to. It is the collecting point for water from all reservoirs in the Croton Watershed. The original reservoir was called "Croton Lake", and was New York City's first upstate source of water, being completed in 1842 by damming the Croton River, which is a tributary of the Hudson River. However, around the turn of the last century, the City of New York enlarged the reservoir to supply the city with more water.
