A True Model

Gio was particularly calm despite all the commotion that had arisen within the family. It was her first job as a professional model, which is why Bruna and Alayna watched her being made up with tears already welling up in their eyes. Haruko and Aitana couldn't stop cheering her on, and even the usually indifferent Joline remained nervously interested, silently wishing her a good debut.

-Ready to start, Giovanna?- the photographer asked kindly and sweetly. The girl nodded with a wide smile on her lips. Truth be told, Gio appeared not only calm but even confident, showing such boldness that it was clear she was born for this. She played, moved, changed poses, and joked in front of the camera as if she had been doing it her whole life. Everyone was amazed, and Gio couldn't have looked more radiant.

When the session ended, applause for the new model came immediately. Happy, she went to Bruna, her mother, who embraced her, crying a river, and asked her a question:

-Mommy, when does the job start?

Bruna was surprised.

-My love, the photo shoot is over. You won't be working anymore today.

-That was it? That was the photo shoot?- Gio asked, pursing her lips. -And here I thought they were taking pictures of me just because of how pretty I looked. Oh, well...

Bruna, Joline, and Alayna exchanged puzzled glances and burst out laughing. Indeed, Giovanna was modeling every second of her life.
